My Training

Hello again :) I hope that all of you are enjoying my new blog, I am still trying to learn about blogging but I am picking it up very quick. I have been getting a lot of questions on my myspace about my training so I wanted to use this opportunity to fill everyone in on my training regimen.

I do all of my strength and conditioning with Brandon Bovee three time a week. He has me concentrate a lot on my core doing three different workout phases with three sets of each phase. After I complete all of those I end my session with airdyne sprints. In addition to my training with Brandon I like to do long distance runs every other day on my own. Cardio is key to Mixed Martial Arts!

All of my MMA training is done with Adam Lynn and Russ Muira at Subfighter MMA Academy in Laguna Hills but I also cross train with Chris Riley and Jimmy Romero at Legends MMA in Hollywood. I try to stay well rounded with my stand up and ground game and I couldn’t ask for better coaches.

As you can tell my training is pretty extensive and takes a lot of energy. Outside of all my training I teach a womens program at LA Boxing Lake Forest and I go to school full time. Because of all this I really need a boot of energy and Düzoxin has been right there to give me that boost. If you guys want to find out more about Düzoxin visit JessicaPene.com

Interview by Brian Williams

Jessica Pene is one of the most down to earth fighters I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She is able to train full time as well as run a women’s program at LA Boxing Lake Forest and LA Boxing Laguna Niguel, and go to school full time. Jessica has just signed with Bellator Fighting Championships and won her first bout under the promotion in 1:35 in the first round via TKO over Tammy Schneider. In addition Jessica has also been selected as the sole female mixed martial artist to endorse Duzoxin. Duzoxin is a weight management system and more information on Duzoxin and Jessica can be found at www.duzoxintv.com/jessica

What belts or titles have you held?
115lbs RMBB Belt

What is your background in MMA?
I have been training for a little over 4 years in muay thai and jiu jitsu. I started my jiu jitsu training with Jeremy Williams at Apex Jiu Jitsu and am currently training at Subfighter MMA with Adam Lynn, Russ Miura, Rick Estrada, and Brandon Bovee.

What are some advantages training with Subfighter MMA?
I have very talented and inspirational coaches who are very supportive. I have a great team around me as well.

Where do you see women’s MMA in 5 years?
Women’s MMA is gaining quite a bit of momentum so hopefully there will be a good women’s league to showcase female fighters.

What is your favorite post fight meal?
Ha ha In N Out Double Double with cheese, animal style fries, chocolate shake and a pink lemonade.

What’s your favorite book?
The Art of War by Sun Tsu

Any pre fight superstitions?
I am so superstitious! Really if I listed all of them you would think I was crazy. But one is that I have to watch Kill Bill Vol. 2 the night before the fight.

Bellator V - Jessica Pene vs. Tammie Schneider

I recently was part of the first women’s bout showcased on Bellator Fighting Championships. Bellator is the largest scale show that I have fought on and I feel so fortunate to be fighting for them. I was also sponsored by Duzoxin for the fight. The trip from Orange County, CA to Dayton, OH in all was a great experience--well except for the rain delay in Texas on the way home!

My fight with Tammie Schneider (nice lady by the way) was at a catch weight of 117 lbs. I won the fight at 1:35 into the very first round by technical knockout, yay! It was a pretty smoothly-run show and the Bellator staff was extremely helpful. It’s always a pleasure to meet so many new people.

Also a very big thank you to my trainers; Adam Lynn and Russ Muira, my strength and conditioning coach Brandon Bovee, and to everyone at Subfighter Laguna Hills and Legends MMA in Hollywood. I couldn’t have done it without you guys.

My 1st Blog

Hey everyone, thank you for welcoming me with such open arms. This is my very first blog so please bare with me as I learn about these things. In this blog I just wanted to take the time to explain to you guys why I chose to endorse Düzoxin, and how I came to find out about it.

I found out about Düzoxin from my friend Brian Williams one day while we were both in the gym. I kept bugging him to get me some to try out and finally one night he gave me a bottle of Düzoxin, and also another version of Düzoxin with Hoodia. I took two Düzoxin capsules to start and noticed that it really gave me extra energy and helped to curb my appetite. The main reason I continued taking Düzoxin was for the energy boost. I am a full time student, a mixed martial arts fighter, and I hold down a full time career as a trainer so I always need the extra energy.

During my mixed martial arts training I usually do an hour and a half of technique and sparring, then a hour of strength and condition, then I run. Düzoxin is a great supplement for me because it’s not like most of these energy or even weight loss supplements where you only have energy for about 20 minutes. Düzoxin stays with me throughout my vigorous workout and my whole day.

After my fight with Bellator Fighting Championships Brian approached me about possibly endorsing Düzoxin and being the first ever female mixed martial artist to do so. I was very flattered and excited but I have to be honest it felt a little weird as well. The reason I felt weird is because I am a young fighter and I am not as well known as The Real Housewives of Orange County and New York, who are also endorsing the product. But either way I am very excited to be a part of a product that I truly believe in.

As for the future of myself and Düzoxin I am excited to move forward with the team and help in any way that I can. In the mean time I just want to keep competing and training to better myself as an athlete and an individual. Thank you all again for welcoming me to the official Düzoxin blog. Hopefully I will learn all this blogging stuff quickly so you can get more of them from me. ☺
